Sugarcane Documentary

Watch the award winning National Geographic documentary "Sugarcane" at Mt Zion on Saturday, September 27 at 5:30pm. 

Sugarcane description: An investigation into abuse and missing children at an Indian residential school ignites a reckoning on the nearby Sugarcane Reserve. This film is rated R. The trailer is available at the link. 

After the film, we will discuss questions provided via sugarcanefilm.com. 

Then on Sunday, September 28 at 6:00pm the ELCA Truth-Telling and Truth Seeking Initiative on Indian Boarding Schools will hold a discussion about the film. Mt Zion will  host a Zoom connection on Sunday, the 28 for anyone who would like to join in the broader conversation throughout the ELCA.
