There are a few times when we want the whole Mt Zion community to come together for a special event and this is one of them! It’s time to celebrate the work of the Mission Exploration Team (MET) over the past six months and to review the Ministry Site Profile (MSP) which they have composed and the Leadership Board has approved.
Everyone is invited!
- 5:30-6:30 Super Soup Supper
- 6:30-8:00 Town Hall meeting in sanctuary
- 6:30-8:00 Kid’s Pajama and movie party in our theater (nursery care will also be available)
Because of the importance of calling new pastor, we want to make sure everyone in the congregation is aware of our process, what we are looking for in a pastor, and how to pray and prepare for the person God has chosen for us. To ensure parents with younger children are included, we’ll have some activities to keep your kids happy during the meeting.
Ministry Site Profile finalized
The final version of the MSP tells Mt Zion’s story and vision for the future. It is a document that will remind us of who we are and how we are moving forward. The MSP is also the tool that will be used by the Synod staff in order to match pastoral candidates to our congregation. Bishop Paul Erickson and Jennifer Arnold, assistant to the bishop from the Greater Milwaukee Synod will be present at the Town Hall to help guide us as we move on to the next step of the call process.
In addition to reviewing the MSP, the Town Hall will look ahead to the next step of the call process, the Call Committee. The Call Committee will interview candidates and prayerfully discern who to recommend we call as our next pastor. The Mission Exploration Team, the newly-formed call committee, as well as the Leadership Board will be in attendance for the Town Hall.

The Town Hall event will be informative, enlightening, a celebration of our community, and an affirmation of our ability and energy to continue in God’s mission together. We want you to be a part of it! Please make a plan to come to this important moment for Mt Zion!
