Mt Zion’s Live Nativity Follows CP Holiday Train time slot

See the story of Jesus’ birth come to life as actors and live animals gather at the stable on North Avenue in Wauwatosa! This year the Live Nativity at Mt Zion is scheduled right after the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train visits the Village of Wauwatosa. Food donations to Tosa Cares will be collected at this brief event, scheduled for 4:30 – 5:00 pm. Gather the family to see the Holiday Train and then visit Mt Zion for the Live Nativity.

Live Nativity – Friday, December 7 from 5-7:00 pm.

The stable is already constructed along the North Avenue side of the building and will feature actors playing the roles of the holy family, shepherds, wise men and angels. Live animals will also be present to add to the scene. A llama, goat, sheep and miniature donkey will be featured.

Bonfires add to the atmosphere and will help us keep warm. During the evening there will be caroling by the Sunday School children and also by the Mt Zion Choir. Chili, soup and beverages will be served inside, along with desserts. Join in the Christmas atmosphere as you meet others and reflect on what the birth of Jesus must have meant 2000 years ago and what it means today. This event is free and everyone is welcome!

This is a great family activity, and enjoyable for the adults to see the wonder in children’s eyes as they see the manger scene. Although you can enjoy it as you drive by on North Avenue, it’s even better up close – near the fires, petting the animals, singing the Christmas carols, and coming inside for refreshments and to warm up.
