Annual report available

Annual Meeting

The Mt Zion Annual Report is now available prior to the annual congregational meeting of Mt Zion Lutheran Church. The annual meeting will take place Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 10:30 am in the Gathering Space, following the worship service at 9:30.  Copies of the annual report are available here or at the church office. This 12-page report includes meeting agenda information, and summaries of the ministries of Mt Zion and information needed for voting on the new mission and vision statements, and leadership board elections.

Also included are statistics for 2020, highlights from 2020-2021, revenue summaries and listing of ministries and leaders, and preliminary information on our 75th Anniversary Celebration on September 19, 2021. Members are encouraged to read through the information prior to the meeting.

Summer worship schedule

For the summer, Mt Zion will have one worship service at 9:30 am, starting June 20 and going through September 19, when we will celebrate our 75th Anniversary. We will hold special outdoor worship services and with fellowship activities after in the parking lot north of the church on Sundays, July 4, August 1 and September 5, weather permitting. All other services will be held in our air-conditioned sanctuary. Be sure to join us throughout the summer as we catch up with one another after the long year of Covid!

Masking not required

Since mask ordinances have been lifted, masks are no longer required at Mt Zion, and those not wearing masks may do all activities, including singing and sharing peace for fully-vaccinated people. We will not check for proof of vaccination, but we hope each person practices the safety they need when in public. We know these reasons may include more than just being unvaccinated; other reasons may include protecting an unvaccinated family member or personal comfort.

We will intentionally welcome those who desire to wear masks, no matter the reason they desire to remain masked, and make sure they feel comfortable in our community. We recognize the value of masks and support those who chose to remain masked.
