October 1 at 8:30 and 10:45 services
Martin and his wife, Katie, came to our Sunday School on Rally Sunday, and they were so interesting, Pastors Steve and Deb invited them back to meet our whole congregation! They will be at both services on Sunday, October 1, and will reminisce about their experiences when Martin was a monk and started the Reformation by nailing 95 ideas to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, and later when they met each other and were married.
On October 31, 2017, it will be 500 years ago that Luther nailed his Theses to the church door in order to start a conversation on church practices. He was as surprised as anybody to realize what that action had started for Christians in Europe and all over the world.
Be sure to be there to hear the story and meet Martin and Katie Luther! Refresh your memory, or hear their story for the first time, as we get ready to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.
