Adult Faith Education
Sunday Adult Forum
On Sundays from 9:45 until 10:45, we gather in the Upper Room (the room across from the sanctuary with the large windows) to learn and grow together. Sometimes the pastors teach together (which they love to do!), and sometimes separately. The topics include Bible study, social issues, global connections, worship and church history, and the basics of Lutheran theology. Some people come every Sunday, some sporadically, some depending on work schedules and childcare. Join us when you can for what is always a lively conversation where we grow closer together in a family of faith. Click here for the current schedule of discussion topics. For more information, or to suggest ideas, please call the pastors.
Brown Bag Bible Busters
This group meets on Wednesdays from 12:00 until 12:50 for lunch and in-depth conversation about the Bible. This group recently did a focused study of the book of Mark and is currently studying Genesis. Many people come on their lunch hours from work, including Mt. Zion staff! Come and take a break from a busy day to center yourself on honest discussion about God’s Word. For more information, please contact Pastor Johnson.
Women’s Bible Study
A monthly Women's Bible study meets at Mt. Zion on the third Saturday of the month at 8:30am. For information and current topics, please contact Carol Libecki at the Church Office.
Home Bible Studies
We have several small group Bible studies that bring Mt. Zion disciples together in their homes. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other disciples at Mt. Zion, building strong relationships with a group of people who right now are probably still strangers. If you're interested in forming a new group, please contact the pastors.
Wednesday Evening Education
During the Lenten season, we gather on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm in the Hearth Room (the room behind the fireplace in the Gathering Space) for study and conversation (and soup) before Lenten Worship at 7:00. This year, we are planning to extend Wednesday night conversations into other times of the year, as well, focusing on conversations about current political and social events and issues and how they intersect with a life of faith. Questions? Call the pastors.
